enerAl notes on sAfety
This operation manual is applicable for the machine RO-
TOmax 2.0. The machine may only be handled by person-
nel who are qualified.
Hold power tools by insulated gripping surfaces when
performing an operation where the cutting tool may con-
tact hidden wiring or its own cord. Contact with a «live»
wire will make exposed metal parts of the tool «live» and
shock the operator.
WARNING: Read all safety instructions, work
instructions, illustrations and technical data
for this power tool. Failure to observe the follow-
ing work instructions may result in electric shock, fire, and/
or serious injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for future refer-
ence.

se of the mAchine for purposes for
which it is intended
The machine with adjustable speed drive is intended ex-
clusively for use as a hand-held tool for grinding or polish-
ing without the use of water. Make sure that only SUHNER
products are used as flexible shafts, hand tools and abra-
sives. A grounding connection or grounding with a fault
current switch is required. Flexible shafts with connection
thread M10 (type DIN 10).

This machine may not be used for work which
does not serve for the abrasive surface machining
or refining of metals or non-metals and near com-
bustible liquids, gases or materials.

Before connecting tool to a power
source, be sure the voltage sup-
plied is the same as specified on
the name plate of the tool.

Block threaded connection with locking pin. Use lock-
ing pin to screw threaded coupling onto the shaft. Insert
locking knob and hose coupling into the connection bore.
Make sure that the locking knob snaps in.

Press locking knob. Slide hand tool over the hose cou-
pling. Make sure that the locking knob snaps in. For more
information please refer to the user's manual of the hand
tool.

detAching the ABrAsiVe
For detailed information please refer to the user's manual
for the hand tool used. The abrasive must be fastened
snug against installed tools.
Let the abrasive run briefly at idling speed without
load. In the event of strong vibrations or other de-
ficiencies shut down the machine immediately
and rectify deficiencies or fit a new abrasive.
