Now wrap the cord around the inside of
the head until you are left with approx.
15cm of spare cord.

Feed the remaining two loose cord ends
back into the metal holes ensuring you
firmly pull it through each side
•
Now reassemble the head and the refilled
unit is ready to be used.
General Maintenance
The engine
Please check the following regularly to ensure
optimum performance –
•
The air filter
•
The spark plug
•
The starter cord for damage or fraying
! Always switch the unit off before
maintenance or repair!
Guide rail (Chain pruner)
•
Turn the guide rail over every time
you replace the chain, this will
prevent wear to just one side of the
rail.
Chain maintenance
A properly sharpened chain should go easily
through small branches / pieces of wood .
Don't work with a dulled or damaged chain as
it will increase the physical exertion required
to cut and may cause injury / damage to the
machine .

Keep the chain clean and free of
debris between uses.
•
Check the chain for cracks and
damaged rivets.
