Functions

• This model is designed for operation on LGB two-rail DC systems with conventio-
nal LGB DC train controllers or power packs (DC, 0 – 24 volts).
• Factory-installed multiple protocol decoder (DC, DCC, mfx).
• The model is programmed with locomotive address 03 for use with the LGB Multi
Train System (DCC). The locomotive is automatically recognized in operation with mfx.
• Mfx technology for the Mobile Station/Central Station.
Name set at the factory: Xrot 9213
• The functions can be activated only in parallel. Serial activation of the functions is
not possible (Please note here the instructions for your controller).
General Note to Avoid Electromagnetic Interference:
A permanent, flawless wheel-rail contact is required in order to guarantee operation
for which a model is designed. Do not make any changes to current-conducting parts
Notes
• This model must be lubricated before operating it for the first time
• When the model is operated with the smoke generator on, especially the steam
flowing out of the cylinders can dirty up the track greatly.
• This model is especially complex and costly in terms of its technology. Most of the
applied parts are constructed of metal. Such parts cannot be replaced so easily as
for example plastic parts. Please therefore note that you should handle this model
with special care.
Mode of Operation Switch
The rotary snowplow has a 2-position mode of operation switch (Fig. 1.
Pos. 0

Everything on
Smoke Generator
A smoke generator synchronized to the wheels is built into the rotary snowplow. Due
to its high power consumption, it can be turned off with a switch for analog operation.
(Figure 1).
The smoke fluid (Märklin item number 02421) is replenished by means of the smoke-
stack (fill to max. 10 milliliters / 0.34 ounces). If the rotary snowplow is tipped over
with a full smoke generator, the smoke fluid will run out again through the cylinders
by means of an overflow.
Rotary Snowplow
The direction of rotation for the rotary wheel can be reversed in digital operation.
The torque on the rotary wheel is reduced for safety reasons. The rotary snowplow is
not designed for practical use in snow.
The rotary snowplow cannot be used actually to remove snow.
Wings are mounted on the front of the rotary wheel on the left and right. They are
opened for operation and can be fixed in place with the rods included with the
snowplow (Figure 2&3).
Note that the rotary snowplow with its wings open exceeds the clearance profile on
the track.
Sound
The whistle can also be activated with the LGB sound activating magnets (17050).
The activating magnet can be clipped into place between the ties on most sections
of LGB track.
Place the magnets with the logo on the right or left side of the track in order to acti-
vate the whistle short / long, when the model goes over this spot.
