! Installation must be conducted by a qualified
technician using the instructions provided.
Wear gloves during installation and maintenance
tasks.
Damaged power cables must be replaced by the
manufacturer or their technical service department, or
by a person with similarly qualified, to avoid danger of
any kind.
Warning: Insertion of screws, even when observing
these instructions, still poses an electrical hazard.
AIR VENTILATION
(for models with ventilation)
! Create a hole for the ventilation pipe (diameter
150 mm).
! Avoid using ventilation pipes that are longer than
strictly necessary.
! Use ventilation pipes with as few bends as possible
(they should bend no more than 90°).
! There should be no abrupt changes made to the
ventilation pipe's diameter.
! The internal surface of the ventilation pipe must be as
smooth as possible.
! The ventilation pipe must be made from a material
that meets current legal requirements in this field.
! Do not connect the hood to ventilation pipes for smoke
from combustion processes (furnaces, woodburning
stoves, cookers, etc.).
! Air ventilation systems must meet the requirements
set by public authorities.
In addition, air must not be ventilated through
cavities in the walls, unless this cavity has been
specifically designed for this purpose.
! Ensure enough ventilation in the room to avoid an
underpressure being created (0.04 mbar is the
maximum). If the hood is being used at the same
time as non-electrical appliances (e.g. gas-, oil- or
coal-fired cookers), exhaust gases may be sucked in
from the heat source.
FILTER OR EXTRACTION?
There are two versions of the hood available – with
filter or with extraction. A decision must be made on
the type of hood prior to installation.
For maximum efficiency, we recommend using the
extraction version wherever possible.
Version with extraction
Version with external motor
The hood cleans the air and removes it through the
extraction pipe (diameter 150 mm).
Version with filter
The hood cleans the air and blows the cleaned air back
into the building.
For hoods with an electronic command only:
The 4th speed setting (intensive) is decreased automatically to the
3rd speed setting after five minutes of operation. This
ensures optimal energy consumption.
If left on (light and/or motor), the hood will switch to
OFF mode after ten hours unless the user takes action;
this will turn off all of the functions.
A 'beep' can be heard every time the user
executes an action via the keypad or remote
control (optional).
If there is a power cut while the hood is in use, the
hood will turn off automatically, with the
equipment's button then set to the OFF position.
You will need to restart the motor manually.
Applies to hoods with control systems that have IR
sensors only: Your equipment has a control system
that uses infrared sensors. Direct sunlight on this type
of sensor may interfere with the sensors and prevent
them from working correctly. If necessary, use screens
or other equipment to block out the sunlight.
