Button TC2 (Motor – V1) ON/OFF motor – starts the
motor at the first speed.
Button TC3 (Motor – V2) Starts the motor at the
second speed.
Button TC4 (Motor – V3) Starts the motor at the
third speed.
Button TC5 (Motor – V4) Starts the motor at the fourth
speed. Maximum speed is set for a maximum of five
minutes, then automatically switches to the third speed
thereafter. When the motor is on, the Led light from the
last button chosen (TC2 - TC5) illuminates to signal
which value was chosen.
Button TC6 (timer turns itself off after five mins) Starts
the TIMER function at the speed previously selected.
If the motor is NOT on, the motor starts at the first
speed, and the TIMER function starts at the same
time. When the TIMER function is on, BL6 changes
colour and switches on. 30-HOUR filter ALARM: After
30 hours of use, an alarm appears to warn you that
the grease filter needs to be cleaned. When this alarm
system is on, it will illuminate for 30 seconds every
time the motor is switched off. BL6 is on. During this
time, you can reset the alarm by pressing TC6.
120-HOUR filter ALARM: After 120 hours of use, an
alarm appears to warn you that the (optional )carbon
filter needs to be cleaned. When this alarm system is
on, it will illuminate for 30 seconds every time the motor
is switched off. BL6 starts to flash. During this time, you
can reset the alarm by pressing TC6.
Time limit: If left on (light and/or motor), the hood
switches to OFF mode after ten hours unless the user
takes action; this will turn off all functions.
Sound function: A 'beep' can be heard every time
the user executes an action via the keypad or
remote control (optional).
MAINTENANCE
! Make sure that the hood is turned off prior to cleaning
or maintenance.
Cleaning the hood
WHEN TO CLEAN: clean at least once every other
month to avoid fire hazards.
EXTERNAL CLEANING: use a damp cloth wrung
out in lukewarm water and a non-abrasive
cleaning agent (if the hood is painted). If hoods
are made from steel, copper or brass, use
products specifically for these.
INTERNAL CLEANING: use a cloth (or a brush) dipped
in methylated spirit.
AVOID THE FOLLOWING: do not use abrasive or
corrosive products (e.g. steel wool cloths, brushes that
are too stiff, highly abrasive cleaning agents, etc.).
Cleaning the grease filter
WHEN TO CLEAN: clean at least once every other
month to avoid fire hazards, depending on usage.
HOW TO REMOVE THE FILTERS: Push
the fastening mechanism next to the lever
back, while at the same time pushing the filter down.
HOW TO CLEAN THE FILTERS: Wash by hand, or in a
dishwasher, using a non-abrasive cleaning agent. The filters
may become discoloured if they are cleaned in a dishwasher,
but this will not affect their function in any way.
Replacing the carbon filters
(hoods with filters only)
WHEN TO REPLACE: replace at least once every
six months, depending on usage.
HOW TO REMOVE THE FILTER: A rocking
movement is needed to remove the carbon filter.
Lighting
- Replace with the same types of lightbulb.
- If the LED light gets destroyed, it should be replaced
by the manufacturer, an authorised distributor or an
individual with similar qualifications to avoid all
possible hazards.
