2. General safety precautions

• Also read the instructions for using the RS PRO R-series sensor-switched light
(e.g. R10) before installing the emergency-light module.
• The emergency-light system must be installed in compliance with national regula-
tions and regularly tested for proper working order.
3. RS PRO R-series emergency-light module
Proper use
– Optional emergency-light module for use in a combined Steinel RS PRO R-series
emergency-light luminaire with rechargeable batteries which automatically switches
ON an emergency LED light in compliance with EN 60598-2-22 for 3 hours in the
event of power failure.

4. Installation
• Check all components for damage.
• Do not use the product if it is damaged.
• When installing the emergency-light module, make sure it correctly engages.
Information regarding the emergency-light module
• Please refer to the sensor-switched light's instructions for use with regard to informa-
tion on installing the sensor-switched light on the ceiling and on removing it again.

Procedure for installing emergency-light module
• Remove package contents.
• Pull out contact breaker (Fig. 4.1)
• Clip emergency-light module into the sensor-switched light (Fig. 4.2)
• Affix sticker (Fig. 4.3)
• Fit sensor-switched light.
The emergency-light module carries out an automatic self-test for 10 s after applying
mains power.
