Switch off the instrument.
Pull out the mains plug!
Loosen the 5 locking screws of the lid of the instrument casing using a Phillips screwdriver. Knurled head screws can be removed
manually without the use of tools. Lift off the lid of the casing and place it to one side.
Caution:
If the instrument has just been in operation, the lamp will still be very hot!
The complete electronics become discharged to a fully non-dangerous residual voltage within a few seconds after switching off the
instrument, so that there is no danger from contact.
Pull out the lamp connector by pressing the two locking springs located at the side.
Unscrew the knurled head screw on the lamp fixture, lift up the fastening clip and remove the lamp from the fixture from behind.
Dispose of the used lamp as described.
Put a new lamp in the same position (see figure) into the fixture, bring down the fastening clip into place and secure with the
knurled head screw.
The lamp is adjusted automatically.
Re-connect the lamp connector. Make sure that the connector is correctly pushed into the socket and that both locking springs click
into the connector.

Further maintenance work
(which should be undertaken when exchanging the lamp) After longer periods of use, deposits (dust, etc.) may form inside the instrument.
These deposits should be removed. Solid deposits on the fan blades as well as on the heat protection filter and the lens should be removed
with a soft cloth and some pure alcohol or surgical spirit.
After exchanging the lamp and cleaning, replace the lid of the casing. Make sure that the earth cable of the lid is correctly fitted. The lid
casing is secured firmly in place with the 5 closure screws. Re-attach the plug, switch on the device and test all functions.

Cleaning and disinfection
Caution: Pull out the mains plug before cleaning!
All external surfaces of the instrument (casing, front plate, rear panel) are non-reactive to all common cleaning and disinfecting agents, so that
these may be used without restriction. A soft cloth or absorbent paper should be used to apply cleaning or disinfecting liquids, in order to avoid
scratching the surface and to dose and distribute the liquid better.
Do not simply pour and then distribute the cleaning and disinfecting agents on the casing. Especially liquids which are inflammable, such as
alcohol, should be measured out using a cloth. Do not allow any liquid to run inside the instrument. After cleaning with an inflammable liquid,
allow the instrument to dry for at least 1 hour before it is switched on again. Otherwise there is a danger of an explosive mixture of air and cle-
aning agent igniting when switching the instrument on.
