Kit Programming - Metra 99-7809B Instrucciones De Instalación

After all connections are made and before installing the radio assembly into the dash, you must program the kit.
1. **** Before programming the climate controls, make sure all connections are made to the Metra climate controls and the
temperature sensor on the driver side dash trim is plugged in, failure to do so will cause the kit to not program properly. ****
2. Start the vehicle.
3. With the vehicle running, press and hold the rear defrost button until the display backlight starts to flash.
4. Release the rear defrost.
5. The display will continue to flash for up to 60 seconds, do nothing until it stops flashing.
6. When the display stops flashing test the climate control functionality. If they work properly, continue with the dash assembly.
7. If the climate controls do not function properly turn off the vehicle and check that all connections are secure. After all
connections are verified, try to program the kit once more while writing down the codes that flash on the display during the
process (this is important information you may need if you must call Technical Support).
**** Note: Factory clock and cabin temperature display at the top of the dash will be lost. The new radio will have a clock on the
radio display, and the new Metra climate control display will show the temperature information.
Note: Press and hold the "Dual" button for 5 seconds to switch the temp display between Fahrenheit and Celsius.
