IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Before using this appliance, read through all the instructions and
only use accordingly.
2. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities,
or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance
by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be
supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
3. The appliance is intended only for use indoors, not for outdoor
use or commercial use.
4. Do not use the appliance anywhere near easily flammable gases
or substances such as solvents, lacquers, glues, etc. Some of the
internal parts can be hot and could throw sparks.
5. Do not position the appliance immediately below a power socket.
6. Keep flammable materials at least 100cm away from the heater.
To prevent burns, do not allow bare skin to come in contact with
hot surfaces.

Do not cover the appliance with anything, as indicated by
the symbol . This can lead to overheating, fire or electric shocks.
Ensure that the air intake and outlet vents are not obstructed.
8. Do not use this appliance or the power cord if it is damaged or
shows signs of damage, if it has fallen over, or does not function
properly. Repairs must be carried out by manufacturer-approved
service centres.
9. The air outlet grille can become very hot during operation -
please do not touch with bare hands.
10. Never touch the unit with wet hands.
11. This heater (HZ220E only) is in frost watch mode when the
thermostat is set to ( ). This means that when the room
temperature drops below 5˚C the unit will automatically operate.
12. In zone 3, socket outlets are permitted only if they are protected
by a residual current protective device with a residual operating
current/Om not exceeding 30mA.
13. This unit has an IP21 protection level and is suitable for use in
bathroom excluding Zones 1 & 2 (See page 5). Do not use this
heater in the immediate surroundings of a bath, a shower or a
swimming pool.
14. Ensure that the unit is not accessible from the shower or bathtub.
WARNING: This heater is not equipped with a device to
control the room temperature. Do not use this heater
in small rooms when they are occupied by persons not
capable of leaving the room on their own, unless constant
supervision is provided.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

This appliance is suitable for free standing use. Please ensure 50 cm
clear distance behind the unit and 1m clear distance in front of the
unit and do not locate near water.
• Place the heater on a firm, level and open surface free from
obstructions. DO NOT use on an unstable surface such as bedding or
deep carpeting.

With the setting switch in the off ( ) position plug in the
heater.
•
Use the setting switch to turn the heater on to HIGH ( ) ,
or LOW ( ).
•
To turn off, turn the setting switch to the OFF ( ) position.
Unplug the heater when not in use.
TO OPERATE THE FAN:
•
Turn the Setting switch to FAN ( ) to use the product as an
air circulator without heat.
NOTE: PROLONGED USE OF THE FAN DURING THE SUMMER
SEASON IS NOT ADVISABLE.

With the Setting switch in the OFF ( ) position, plug in the
heater.
•
Turn the Thermostat switch clockwise to its highest position.
•
Use the Setting switch to turn the heater on to HIGH ( ) or
LOW ( ).
•
When the room reaches a comfortable temperature, turn
the Thermostat control anticlockwise slowly until the heater
goes off.
•
This is the point at which the Thermostat setting equals
the room temperature. At this setting, the Thermostat will
automatically turn the heater on and off to maintain this
selected temperature.
•
To turn off, turn the Setting switch to the OFF ( ) position.
Unplug the heater when not in use.
TO OPERATE THE FAN:

Turn the Setting switch to FAN ( ) and the Thermostat
•
control to its highest setting to use the product as an air
•
circulator without heat.
•
NOTE: PROLONGED USE OF THE FAN DURING THE SUMMER
•
SEASON IS NOT ADVISABLE.
•
CLEANING
•
We recommend you to clean the appliance twice a year with a
vacuum cleaner.
1. Unplug the unit
2. Allow it to cool down for 20 mins
3. Use a vacuum cleaner to suck out dust and dirt from both grilles
MAINTENANCE
In the event of overheating, the safety system will automatically
turn off the heating elements and the motor. If this happens please
remove any obstacles to the air outlet grille and clean the unit as
indicated under cleaning instructions.

This symbol on the product or its packaging indicates that
the appliance cannot be treated as normal domestic waste
but must be handed in at a collection point for recycling
electric and electronic appliances.
Your contribution to the correct disposal of this product protects the
environment.
Further information about the recycling of this product can be
obtained from your local town hall, your refuse collection service, or
in the store at which you bought the product. This regulation is valid
only in EU member states.

As condition of purchase the purchaser assumes responsibility for
the correct use and care of this KAZ product according to these user
instructions. The purchaser or user must himself or herself decide
when and for how long this KAZ product is in use.

PLEASE OBSERVE THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THE GUARANTEE
CONDITIONS. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO OPEN OR REPAIR THE KAZ
PRODUCT YOURSELF, AS THIS COULD LEAD TO TERMINATION
OF THE GUARANTEE AND CAUSE DAMAGE TO PERSONS AND
PROPERTY.
