TROUBLESHOOTING
CAUSE
Air has probably entered the
circuit and deactivated the
pump.
Probably an excess amount of
ground coffee has been placed
in the filter ring preventing the
filter ring from being correctly
tightened into its housing.
It is possible that the scarce
outflow of coffee also depends
on the insufficient emission of
water from the perforated sho-
werhead type disc in the filter
ring housing. In fact it is possi-
ble that after a few months of
use, oils or lime residues can
obstruct the disc.
There is not enough water and
the pump does not suction.
The blend has been ground
too coarsely.
Brewing coffee in cold cups.
Ground coffee not evenly
spread in the filter.
Coffee stuck to filter holder
Little or no water in pump
Not connected
SOLUTIONS
Make sure the tank is properly inserted and that the
water is not below the minimum level.
Repeat the operations described in the "Preliminary
phases for use" paragraph.
Use a pin to unclog the wand.
Make sure the water level in the tank is normal.
Repeat the operation placing the correct quantity of
coffee in the filter.
Residues of coffee grounds have remained on the
seal. If the problem persists after carrying out the
above operations, go to an Authorized Assistance
Center.
Check the filter containing the grounds. If the holes
are clogged, clean them with a brush, or use a uten-
sil to hold the filter over the flame of a gas burner for
a few seconds, the coffee grounds will burn, unclog-
ging the holes.
Operate the coffee maker without the filter ring
making the water flow. If the water does not flow out
uniformly from all the holes it means that the disc is
clogged. In this case go to an Authorized Assistance
Center to have it cleaned.
Insert the tank properly by pushing it all the way
down.
Fill the tank.
A more finely ground blend must be used to obtain a
more concentrated and hotter coffee.
The problem can be eliminated by using the
Thermocream® Disc which always ensures an extre-
mely hot coffee and rich crema, even with coarsely
ground coffee.
Use fresh coffee with finer grind &/or try Espressione
coffee pods.
Preheat the cups & filter holder before brewing cof-
fee.
Lightly tamp coffee and be sure to keep filter clean.
Clean filter holder with tap water after use
Fill the water tank
Check the connections and be sure it's plugged in
