Instructions must be read carefully and kept for future reference. Wood, the main component of NORTLAND swimming pools, is a living material, liable to warp if stored
under the wrong conditions. Take care to store wooden items flat in a cool and ventilated place away from sunlight and bad weather.
• Small splits, knots and faults in the tongues in no way affect the mechanical resistance of the wood. They may not under any circumstances be considered as grounds
for complaint. Do not fill cracks with filler or any other material.
• We recommend that you get help from a professional to assemble the product.
You are fully responsible for the safety of your children! They are most at risk under the age of 5 years. Accidents do not just happen to other people! Be prepared!
• Supervision and action:
• Children must be supervised closely and constantly;
• Nominate one person to be in charge of safety;
• Increase supervision when there are several users in the pool;
• Make individual buoyancy equipment a requirement (for non-swimmers);
• Teach your children to swim as early as possible;
• Wet the nape of the neck, arms and legs before entering the water;
• Learn life-saving techniques, especially those specific to children;
• Prohibit diving or jumping when young children are present;
• Prohibit running and lively games on the poolside;
• Do not allow access to the pool without a life jacket or vest to children who are not good swimmers and are unaccompanied in the water;
• Remember to remove the external wooden ladder every time after use in order to prevent unsupervised access to the pool.
• Do not leave toys near to or inside an unsupervised pool;
• Always keep the water clear and healthy;
• Store water treatment products out of children's reach;
• Do not use sharp or pointed objects in the pool (which may damage the liner).
• The pool edge is part of the pool's finish. It is strictly prohibited to run or sit on it.
• Never put treatment products directly into the water (this could mark the liner).
• The filter must be installed below water level.
• The filtration system must be connected to a power supply that is protected by a 30mA earth leakage circuit breaker (ELCB) at the terminal.
• All filtrations comply with the standard NF C 15-100, which stipulates that all electrical devices installed less than 3.50m from the pool and freely accessible must be
supplied with a very low 12V voltage. All electrical devices with 220V supply must be situated at least 3.50m from the edge of the pool. Consult the manufacturer for any
change in one or more components of the filtration system.
• Provide:
• An easily accessible telephone near the pool so as not to leave your children without supervision when you are on the telephone;
• A lifebuoy and pole near the pool;
• In addition, certain equipment may help improve safety:
• A protection barrier with a gate that is kept shut constantly (a hedge for example may not be considered as a barrier);
• A manual or automatic protection cover correctly positioned and fastened;
• An electronic movement or fall detector, in service and operational; none of these, however, are a substitute under any circumstance for close supervision;
• In case of an accident:
• Take the child out of the water as quickly as possible;
• Call emergency services immediately and follow their instructions;
• Replace wet clothing with warm blankets;
• Memorize and display near the pool the telephone numbers for the emergency services:
• Fire: 999
• Ambulance: 999
• Emergency poisons unit.
