Problem
Moisture forms on
cabinet surface

Possible Causes
Not unusual during
periods of high humidity.
Too frequent or too
long door openings.
Food too close to air vent.
Fresh food control is set
too cold.
Rollers need adjusting.
Icemaker turned off or
water supply turned off.
Ice cubes are frozen to
icemaker feeler arm.
Irregular ice clumps in
storage container.
Foods transmitting
odor to refrigerator.
Interior needs cleaning.
Normal air flow cooling
motor. In the refrigeration
process, it is normal that
heat be expelled in the
area under the refrigerator.
Some floor coverings will
discolor at these normal
and safe temperatures.
Defrost heater is on.
What To Do
•Wipe surface dry and make sure the power saver switch
is not set at the POWER SAVER setting.
•Move the food away from the air vent (near the controls).
•Move the fresh food control to a warmer
temperature.
•See Rollers.
• Turn on icemaker or water supply.
• Remove cubes and move the feeler arm to the
ON (down) position.
• Break up with fingertip pressure and discard
remaining clumps.
• Freezer may be too warm. Adjust the freezer control
to a colder setting, one position at a time, until
clumps do not form.
• Foods with strong odors should be tightly wrapped.
• Keep an open box of baking soda in the refrigerator;
replace every three months.
• See Care and cleaning.
• Your floor covering supplier should be consulted if
you object to this discoloration.
• This is normal.
