How to Use
This product is for household use only.
GETTING STARTED
Clean unit before first use as instructed in the Cleaning section.
USING THE BATTERIES
The unit comes with 4 "AA" batteries.
Inserting the Batteries in the Compartment
1. Remove jar from the base by turning it counterclockwise.
2. Turn the base upside down.
3. Remove the battery compartment cover.
a. Press the tab, the cover lifts up halfway (A).
b. Grasp the cover and pull it off.
4. Insert each battery into the compartment following the
+ and – markings (B).

5. Replace the cover. Insert the two end tabs on the cover into the
slots on the unit and push the cover until it snaps into place (C).
PREPARING DRESSINGS
Important: When you turn on the unit and set it on the counter, it
stops functioning. This is normal; it only works when you tilt it or
when you press the Power Boost button.

1. Make sure the unit is off (D).
2. Place unit on a flat surface.
3. Remove the jar lid.
4. Choose a recipe from the recipes printed on the jar. For your
convenience recipes are included in this manual with instructions

to follow. Refer to Preparing Vinaigrettes (pages 5-8) or Preparing
Creamy Salad Dressings (Model GDM200) (pages 9-12).
5. Add ingredients in the order marked on the jar and up to the fill
line for each ingredient.
6. For dry ingredients, follow the pre-measured level on the jar lid (E).

7. Place the lid on the jar.
8. Slide the ON/OFF switch to the ON position (F).

9. To mix ingredients, either:
a. Tilt the unit to automatically activate the spinning motion
of the mixing spatula and beater. Ingredients are mixed
as you pour (G). Or
b. Press the Power Boost button intermittently until all
ingredients are blended (H).
Tip: If you press the Power Boost button while the unit is tilted and

working, it will add extra power to the mixing action.
Important: If you notice that the spinning motion slows down, the batteries might be
running low. Change the batteries and try again.
10. As your pour the dressing, the unit automatically starts
emulsifying the ingredients for vinaigrettes or creamy salad
dressings (model GDM200).
11. When finished, place lid on the jar, tightly.
You can store any left-over vinaigrette dressings in the jar, without the

base, and keep it in the refrigerator or up to 7 days.
