Before use
• Prepare the fruit and vegetables in advance and place the cut pieces into cubes of approximately 25 mm
(1").
• As a general guideline, you do not need to peel any fruits and vegetables whose skin you would normally
eat. However we do recommend washing all produce before it is juiced, as a majority of commercially
grown fruits and vegetables are sprayed with fertilizers and insecticides.
• Always trim off any blemishes.
• Scrub carrots etc. with a brush to remove any dirt.
• Remove skin from thick skinned fruits, such as melon and pineapple.
• Remove stones from cherries, peaches, nectarines etc.
• Fruit containing small seeds, such as apples, need not be cored.
• Cut the produce into small pieces that will fit easily into the feeder on the lid. Never attempt to force large
items. Do not cut pieces smaller than necessary.
• Leafy herbs and vegetables should be rolled tightly.
Using the tall/short cups for blending
1. Add the food to the short cup, or the tall cup.
2. Fit the desired blending blade (Flat Blade/Cross Blade) onto the selected container and twist until tightly
sealed.
3. Align the tabs on the selected container with the slots on the motor base, as shown opposite.
4. Press down (1) onto the motor base to turn the motor base on.
5. To stop the blade, simply release pressure on the container.
6. For continuous blending press down onto the motor base and turn slightly clockwise (2) until the tabs lock
under the lips of the motor base.
7. To turn it off, twist the cup anti clockwise and release pressure.
Hints For Best Results
• For a coarsely chopped texture press and release the cup
• onto the base in short bursts, this will prevent the ingredients
• from being chopped too finely and mushy.
• For a paste/puree press and release the cup on the base for a longer period of time.
• Fruit and vegetables should be precut into approximately 1 cubes for even chopping.
• When chopping or mixing due to the density of some ingredients it can make it hard for the ingredients
toward the top of the cup to reach the blades. If this happens, remove the cup or beaker from the motor
and shake to distribute the ingredients and re-blend.
• When crushing ice, for best results use the tall cup or serving beaker with the stainless steel cross blade.
• Add the ingredients for your smoothie or cocktail add ice and blend.
• Press and release the container in short bursts.
• When blending soups, allow the soup to cool sufficiently before blending. Soup may need to be blended
in batches as the maximum fill mark is 1000 ml.
• The tall and short cups can be used to steam vegetables in the microwave, add vegetables to the cup along
with a little stock or water and screw on the sprinkler/steamer lid and microwave until tender. This is a great
way to make a quick and tasty soup at lunchtime, just add seasonings a dash of cream and blend.
