• Do not immerse the GREEN POWER in water or allow any
water to enter the product.
• Disconnect the GREEN POWER before storing it.
• Do not touch the hot nozzle (Fig.1 item A).
• Do not allow the electrical cable to touch the hot nozzle.
• Never obstruct the vents (Fig.1 item E).
• Do not use the electric cable to support or carry the
GREEN POWER.
• Do not attempt to open or modify the GREEN POWER,
there are no user serviceable parts.
• If you add an extension cable, it must be identical to
the electrical cable of the GREEN POWER with sealed
connecting plug.
• If the GREEN POWER is obviously damaged do not use it.
• If the electrical cable of the product becomes damaged do
not use the product and contact Hozelock Customer Service.
• The product is designed for private domestic use and
must be used in accordance with these instructions. It is
not designed or guaranteed against faults developing
when used in an industrial or commercial environment or
application.
• Children and teenagers below the age of 16 should not use
the GREEN POWER and must stand away when it is in use.
Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and
user maintenance shall not be made by children without
supervision.
This product should not be used by persons
(including children) with impaired physical, sensory or
mental abilities, or lacking knowledge and experience,
without supervision by a person in charge of their safety,
instructing them on how to use the device.
Warning:
Safety & Electrical Connections
• This product is supplied with 0.3m of 2-core electric cable
and a Euro plug. For connection to the mains supply use
only 2-core cable (ref HO5 RN-F). This has a minimum
copper cross-section of 1mm
insulation.
• A 30mA maximum Residual Current Device (RCD) MUST be
fitted to the mains supply.
Start Up - First Use
Ensure the switch (D) is set to 'OFF' (Fig.2 item I).
Connect the GREEN POWER with an extension cable to the
power supply.
Hold the GREEN POWER by the handle and
(noting the above mentioned Safety Precautions) switch it on
to the "Heating" position (Fig.2 item J).

The device can take 45 seconds to reach operating
temperature.
To treat the weed, rest the nozzle on the ground placing
it directly above the weed and hold in that position for 3
seconds.
Weeds are killed by the thermal shock. The fast temperature
rise bursts the cells of the plant and destroys the weed.
repeat this procedure to treat other weeds around the
garden.
Keep the electrical cable well away from the heated nozzle.
Cooling Cycle
Before switching off the device, a cooling phase is required.
If the cooling phase is not carried out, it may damage the
product over time.
Set the switch (D) to the "Cooling" position (Fig.2 item K) for
at least 30 seconds.
After this time, move the switch to OFF (Fig.2 item I) to switch
off the GREEN POWER.
Disconnect the device from the power supply.
Check the device is completely cold before storing it.
It can then be stored horizontally on the ground on its stand
(Fig.1 item C) or hung to the wall by its anchoring point
(Fig.1 item G).
Maintenance
The product can be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild
detergent but do not allow any water to enter the product.
There are no user serviceable parts on the GREEN POWER.

Disposal
Do not dispose of electrical appliances as unsorted municipal
waste, use separate collection facilities.
Contact your local government for information regarding
the collection systems available. If electrical appliances
are disposed of in landfills or dumps, hazardous substances
can leak into the groundwater and get into the food chain,
damaging your health and well-being. When replacing old
appliances with new ones, the retailer is legally obligated
to take back your old appliance for disposal at least free of
charge.
