If damage is discovered, remove the device
from operation and ensure that the device can-
not be put back into operation. Have the devi-
ce repaired by an authorised specialist or by
FINO GmbH.
Prior to switching the device ON, always ensure that
the water filler nozzle (5) is closed securely. Do not
open the water filler nozzle or water outlet screw on
the base of the device if the pressure indicator (4) is
not set to zero. Do not fill chemical or other additives
into the device. Only use distilled water at a mixing
ratio of 1:1 with tap water. Do not clean equipment or
areas under voltage. Do not cover the ventilation
slots of the device. Do not direct steam gun (9) at
people or animals. The device can heat up under
prolonged use - risk of burns. When the device is
ready for operation, do not touch the nozzle of the
steam gun. Do not operate the device with moist or
wet hands. Always attach the steam gun to the pro-
vided bolt (7). Maintenance work or repairs may only
be performed by trained persons or an authorised
dealer.
FINO GmbH shall not accept liability for other than
intended use or inappropriate handling.
4. Getting started
4.1 Prior to commissioning
Before first operation check the unit for transport
damages. Claim any transport damages immediately
with the supplier.
Check the device for its proper condition. In
particular, check the mains connection for
damage, such as pinching, cracks or ageing! Do not
commence operation if the mains connection
is damaged! Have damaged mains connections
replaced with an equal or higher quality mains con-
nection by technical customer services or a skilled
electrician.
Check the nominal voltage of the device prior to con-
necting to the mains. The voltage given on the type
plate must correspond to the local mains voltage.
The mains connection plug is to be plugged into a
grounded, protected mains socket. Connect the
device via a fault-current circuit breaker (FI). Screw
the provided handpiece holder bolt (7) to the right
side of the device.

4.2 Location
Attention fire risk!
Place the device in a dry and even location.
Do not build the device into a cabinet. Do not
cover the ventilation slots of the device. Operate the
device exclusively in closed rooms which are not
subject to environmental conditions.
5. Handling
5.1 Filling water tank
Do not open the water filler nozzle (5) when the devi-
ce is in operation or if the pressure indicator (4) is
not set to zero. Prior to every operation, ensure that
the water filler nozzle is closed securely. Do not fill
chemical or other additives into the device. Only
use distilled water at a mixing ratio of 1:1 with
tap water. Use a funnel to fill the device.
Open the water filler nozzle and attach funnel. After
filling, remove the funnel and close water tank secu-
rely.
Water alarm
If the water level is too low, an acoustic alarm
will sound and the water indicator (2) will
come on. Stop work immediately. Switch OFF the
device at the mains switch (1) and wait until the pres-
sure in the device has dropped (observe pressure
indicator). Once the pressure has dropped to 0,
carefully open the water filler nozzle (5) slowly bit by
bit until the steam has escaped completely. Allow
vessel to cool off for approximately 15 minutes before
refilling to avoid temperature shock or fracture.
Fill water tank as described under 5.1. Use lukewarm
to warm water for refilling. Switch device back ON
(1).
5.2 Operation
Do not direct steam gun (9) at people or
animals. The device can heat up under
prolonged use - risk of burns. When the device is
ready for operation, do not touch the nozzle of the
steam gun. Do not operate the device with moist
or wet hands. Always attach the steam gun to the
provided bolt (7).
Ensure that there is sufficient water in the water tank
of the device.
