2. HARDWARE DESCRIPTION

The LEI RS485 plug-in board consists of a microprocessor-
based controller containing specialised software for its
functions. The module includes an internal male header for
plug-in interfacing with an LEI base board. It receives power
and CCN communications through the male header from the
base board. It provides a three-position Phoenix connector for
RS485 connection (used for JBus communications) and LEDs
for communications and board operation control.
This board does not have a cover and is not rated for outdoor
use. It is recommended to install it with a dedicated LEI base
board, an NRCP2 board or a PD5 board.

Note: Here, the LEI board is plugged into an NRCP2 base
board. It can also be plugged into a PD5 base board or a
dedicated LEI base board that provides power and CCN
connection.
