1
Preparation of the skin:
Wash your hands.
Gently clean the area around the stoma with
lukewarm water and carefully dab with soft tissues.
Avoid using any disinfectant (ether, alcohol or other
antiseptic...) as it damages the skin and prevents the
proper adhesion of the pouch.
2
Fitting your appliance:
If you are using a cut-to-fit pouch, cut the skin
protector so it fits the size of your stoma, taking good
care not to perforate the film of the pouch (do not
cut beyond the limit) (A). Leave a 2 to 3 mm gap
around your stoma: it should not be "occluded" by
the skin protector.
Separate the pouch walls by crumpling it slightly to
introduce air into it.
Peel the protective paper from the skin protector.
- 4 -
Position the bottom of the skin protector opening
around the base of the stoma (B).
Press the bottom part of the skin protector smoothly
onto the skin, then place and press onto the upper
part.
Smooth the entire surface of the skin protector,
working from bottom to top, to ensure perfect
adhesion (C).
If you wish to use a belt (with a convex product), choose
two notches that are diametrically opposed (D-E).
3
Removing your appliance :
Pull slightly on the top of the pouch and remove the
pouch from the top to the bottom, while maintaining
gentle pressure on the skin around the stoma with
your other hand.
4
Use of patch cover for filter protection:
If you wish to inactivate the filter (bath, shower...), stick
an adhesive patch on the centre or on the top side of
the pouch depending on the type of bag used so that
the hole for gas evacuation is blocked (F1 or F2).
5
Drainable pouches:
Drainable pouch with a standard clamp*
Please ensure that your pouch is closed before
applying it.
Use the clamp provided in the box to close the pouch
