• Never cover the humidifier or place it too close to furniture.
• The device must always be unplugged:
– before the device is moved to another place;
– in the case of malfunction;
– before any cleaning;
– after each use.
• The mains cable must not be suspended over corners and sharp edges or clamped in any way (danger
of electric shock!)
• Never pull the mains plug out with wet hands or by pulling the mains cable.
• Do not use an extension lead.
• Unplug the application before filling water or cleaning.
• The humidifier is not protected against water spray. Never penetrating the housing of the device with
any kind of object.
• Always operate the humidifier on a stable and flat surface.
• Never position the humidifier on a hot surface or in the vicinity of open flames. Keep a safe distance
of 50 cm from such hazards.
• The humidifier must only be used in private households and in dry rooms.
• Never allow the humidifier or the cable to be immersed in water or other liquids: Danger of injury,
fire or electric shock
• Only use original spare parts.
• Do not use this device in or close to bath tub, shower or swimming pool (always ensure a minimum
distance of 3m). Always place the device in a position where it cannot be reached by anyone in the
bath tub.
• Do not put the device near a source of heat. Do not subject the power cable to direct heat (such as
heat from hot oven hobs, naked flames, hot irons or heating furnaces). Keep the cable away from oil.
• Do not use any sharp, abrasive objects or corrosive chemicals in this device.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or simi-
larly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
Do not place the device directly on the floor. Use a water-proof underlay!
FIRST USE /OPERATION
Choice of location
Before setting up the device, please note the following:
Never position the humidifier directly underneath a power socket.

• Make sure that the humidifier is on a stable surface and people can not step over the con-
nected cable.
Do not place the humidifier on a water–sensitive floor surface.
•
Never cover the humidifier and do not place it in the immediate vicinity of furniture.
•
Use only in dry rooms and do not use an extension power cable.
•
Filling with water
Take the Water Tank (6) from its position by pulling the Handle (5) up.
•
Remove the Tank Cap (8), fill cold fresh water into the Tank, and put back the Tank Cap and

screw it tight on to the Tank.
Put the Tank back onto the unit .
