Setting Decoder Parameters with the Control Unit
The decoder can be programmed after it has been installed.
1. Press the "Stop" and "Go" at the same time until "99" blinks in the display.
2. "Stop"-Taste drücken.
3. Press a button on the Keyboard for the output to be changed (example: 1).
4. Enter address "80".
5. Hold the control knob in the reverse direction area. While holding the control knob here, press
the "Go" button.
6. The diode on the M84 will blink slowly.
7. Enter the CV number for the parameter to be changed (=> List in your M84 instructions).
8. Active the change of direction.
9. The diode will blink rapidly.
10. Enter a new value (=> list in your M84 instructions or factory default setting supplement).
11. Active the change of direction.
12. The diode will blink slowly (exception: factory reset).
13. Enter the next parameter setting from 6 or end with 14.
14. End the process by pressing the "Stop" button. Then press the "Go" button.
15. Press a button on the Keyboard for the output to be changed (example: 1).
16. Then press the "Go" button.
If a factory reset has been carried out, "Stop" and "Go" must now be pressed again.

Setting Decoder Parameters with the Central Station 2 / Mobile Station 2
At the present time the M84 can be programmed only in the DCC mode and on a programming
track.
1. Entering a locomotive with a DCC type decoder (see instructions for the Central Station or
Mobile Station)
2. Setting the DCC mode with switch 10 on the M84.
3. Going into the CV programming mode for the locomotive being entered.
4. Entering, changing, storing the desired CVs.
5. After all of the changes have been programmed and stored, set the M84 back to MM with
switch 10. All of the changes have now taken effect.
If they don't, repeat Step 1.
