46. Splice the ground lead from the existing 8-way to the
blunt cut lead from the new connector - refer to Service
Procedure 303648.
47. If there already is a 4-way connector (Articulating
Running Board Accessory), splice the green wire from
the heated seat harness into the articulating running
board harness blunt cut lead labeled "GM LAN" - refer to
Service Procedure 303648.
48. Reassemble junction block cover and wire tie accessory
harness to existing vehicle wiring, away from park brake
mechanism, securing it out of harms way - see Figure
45.
NOTE: Trim excess wire tie length.

49. Reinstall body hinge pillar trim panel and door sill plate.
Install Heated Seat Switches and Wiring (Pick-up Only):
50. Remove instrument panel accessory trim plate with
plastic trim removal tool - refer to Service Procedure
1828884.
51. Remove storage bin from accessory trim plate with a
small screw driver and replace with the pick-up switch
plate included in the accessory kit - see Figures 46 and
47.

52. Install heated seat switches into switch plate - reference
Service Procedure 1847842.
53. Loosen instrument panel lower center trim - reference
Service Procedure 1828891.
54. Route body harness jumper from junction block/park
brake area, under left side of instrument panel, and
behind lower center trim to heated seat switch location -
see Figures 48 and 49.

55. Connect harness connectors to heated seat switches.
56. Reinstall instrument panel accessory trim plate and
lower center trim.
57. Secure accessory harness to lower HVAC duct under
left side of instrument panel with wire ties - see Figures
50, 51 and 52.
NOTE: Do not block any air flow openings in the HVAC
duct, and trim excess wire tie length.
