The base plate is attached to the actuating side of the cylinder (9). The base
plate consists of the slide (8) with cutter and counter support (4). Upon
activating the wire cutter, the cylinder (9) actuates the slide (8) , moving it
forward. At the same time, the counter support (4) clamps the free wire end at
the fixed jaw by spring force, and the cutter on the slide (8) completes the
cylinder stroke and cuts off the wire. The option non-contact end position
sensing (2), (10) monitors the position of the pneumatic cylinder.
At an operating pressure of at least 5 bar, the cylinder is set in the pneumatic
end positions. Signal evaluation takes place in a higher-ranking safety circuit.
