Checking LEDs
Refer to the illustration and tables that follow for descriptions of the LEDs on the Business Policy
Switch. The tables describe LED operation for a switch that has completed its power-on self-tests.

Meaning
DC power is available to the switch internal circuitry.
There is no AC power to the switch, or the power supply has failed.
The power-on self test is complete, and the switch is operating normally.
A nonfatal error occurred during the self-test.
The switch failed the self-test.
The switch is connected to an RPSU (redundant power supply unit) and can
receive power if necessary.
The switch is not connected to an RPSU, or the RPSU is not supplying
power.
The switch is connected to the Cascade A In connector on the upstream unit.
This unit has detected a problem with the switch connected to the cascade
Up connector. To maintain the integrity of the stack, this unit has bypassed its
upstream neighbor and has wrapped the stack backplane onto an alternate
path.
The software version is incompatible or is unable to obtain a unit ID because
the Renumber Stack Unit table is full. This unit is on the ring but cannot
participate in the stack configuration.
The switch is in standalone mode.
