Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning the Lens

It is recommended that the ocular lens of the RetinaStation is cleaned on weekly basis or regularly as
needed.
Items required for cleaning the ocular lens:
a) Diluted acetone or lens cleaning solution
b) Lens cleaning paper
Method:
Wet a sheet of lens paper with some cleaning solution and wipe the ocular lens with one pass in one
direction. Discard the used sheet of lens paper. Use a new sheet for each repeat cleaning until the
ocular lens is clean.

6.2 Chin Rest and Forehead Rest

Using a cleaning cloth dampened with a disinfectant solution or a wet isopropyl alcohol cleaning paper
pad, wipe the chin rest and forehead rest before and after each use.
If chin rest paper is used, remove one piece for each patient.

6.3 LCD Monitor/Touch Panel

First, turn off the power and, using a soft cleaning cloth, lightly wipe the exterior of the LCD display.
Do not press the LCD monitor with a hard tipped object. Doing so may scratch or damage the LCD
monitor, resulting in malfunction.

6.4 Changing the Fuse

1. Check that the power is turned off and the power cable is unplugged.
2. Tilt the body slowly so that the AC Power Entry on the base can be seen.
3. Remove the fuse holder from the AC Power Entry.
4. Replace the fuse with the correct part.
Fuse specification:
Rating: 1.6 A / 250 VAC
Package: 5 mm x 20 mm
Type: Slow blow
5. Insert the fuse holder back into the AC Power Entry.

6.5 Cleaning the enclosure

If the enclosure needs cleaning, wipe the soiled area using a cleaning cloth dampened with a
disinfectant solution or a cleaning paper pad dampened with isopropyl alcohol.
