CEBORA S.p.A
This Instruction Manual refers to the Cebora Robot Simulator for Robot Analog Interfaces, and has been
prepared to educate the personnel assigned to install, operate and maintain the Welding System.
It must be stored carefully, in a place familiar to users, and consulted whenever there are doubts.
It must be kept for the entire operative life-span of the machine, and used to order spare parts.
The Cebora SOUND MIG ROBOT PULSE and SOUND TIG ROBOT systems has two models of Robot
Simulators to choose from one or the other, based on the Robot Interface used:
−
Robot Simulator art. 219.00, for RAI211 Robot Interface, art. 211.00 (MIG applications);
−
Robot Simulator art. 219.01, for RAI217 Robot Interface, art. 217.00 (MIG applications),

INSTALLATION.
This equipment must be used solely for operations on Cebora Welding Systems described in this Manual.
It is essential to pay especially close attention to the chapter on SAFETY PRECAUTIONS described in
the par. 1 on this Instruction Manual.
The equipment must be installed by qualified personnel.
All connections must be carried out in compliance with current standards and in full observance of
current safety laws.
3.1
Installation.
-
Remove the Robot Simulator from its packing and place it in the place provided for the Welding
System control, considering the connection cable length (4 m).
- If not previously done, remove every connection between Robot Interface and Robot Control
(connection (26) in fig. 2).
- Connect the Robot Simulator (27) to the Robot Interface (25) and to an external supply source, using
exclusively proper extension (28), included in the Robot Simulator supply.
NOTE: For Robot Simulator operation an auxiliary voltage supply of 24 Vac or 24 Vdc polarity free is
necessary, isolated regarding the Interface Robot supply source, applied to the connector (56) of
the Robot Simulator (see electrical diagram at the end of this Manual).
- Execute, or control if already made, the connections of the other equipments of Welding System,
consulting the related Instructions Manuals at the par. "Installation".
- Before connecting the Power Source power cord, make sure the mains voltage matches that of the
welding machine, and that the earth socket is in good working order.
- Power up the Welding System using the switch BU of the Power Source (see Power Source Instruction
Manual) and wait for the start-up phase to end (see sequence in the Control Panel Instruction Manual).
- At the Robot Simulator first start up, set all switches, on Robot Simulator, in OFF position (lever to
the left) and all potentiometer to the minimum (knob in maximum counter-clockwise).
- Power up the Robot Simulator.
Welding System is ready to operate in manual mode, trougth the Robot Simulator control panel.
For a detailed description of Robot Simulator signals, consult, beyond to the present manual, also the
Robot Interface Instructions Manual.
