Acetylene Regulator
Oxygen Regulator
Important Safety and Operating Instructions
ENSURE EACH OPERATOR READS AND UNDERSTANDS THESE
INSTRUCTIONS.
Do not try to use this regulator, unless you are trained in its proper use
or are under competent supervision. You must understand and comply
with safety regulations and practices for your country.
Everytime this regulator is attached to a cylinder, the following safety
precautions MUST BE OBSERVED. Deviation from the following
instructions may result in fire, explosion, damage or injury.
Cylinder Care
1. Secure cylinder to wall, post or cart, so it will not slip or fall.
2. Inspect the cylinder valve for damaged thread, dirt, dust, oil
or grease. Remove dust with a clean dry cloth. DO NOT ATTACH
THE REGULATOR IF OIL, GREASE OR DAMAGE IS PRESENT.
Inform your gas supplier of this condition. Oil or grease in the
presence of high pressure Oxygen is explosive.
3. Crack open the cylinder valve for an instant and close quickly.
This will blow out any foreign matter that may be inside the valve
port. Do this only in a well-ventilated area, away from any flame,
lighted cigarette or ignition source. Do not stand in front of the
valve port.
Regulator Use
1. Inspect the regulator for damaged threads, dirt, dust, oil or grease.
Remove dust and dirt with a clean dry cloth. In particular, inspect
condition of the sealing surface on regulator inlet. There should be
no flaws or cracks. DO NOT USE THE REGULATOR IF OIL,
GREASE OR DAMAGE IS PRESENT. Have your authorised
repairer clean the regulator or repair any damage.
2. Only connect the regulator to the cylinder valve, if the gas and max.
inlet pressure (marked on regulator nameplate) correspond with the
cylinder gas and filling pressure.
3. Attach the regulator to the cylinder valve and tighten securely with
correct spanner only. All fuel-gas connections are left-hand
threaded and can be recognised by a groove on the hexagon nut.
4. BEFORE OPENING THE CYLINDER VA LVE, unscrew the
regulator adusting knob or "T" screw anti-clockwise until slack.

9. When you have finished using the equipment, close the cylinder

Important Advice
Use only cylinders in vertical position (do not lay them down).
Before moving a cylinder, close cylinder valve and remove regulator.
DO NOT USE THE REGULATOR AS A LEVER, TO MOVE A
CYLINDER.
Do not hang or suspend anything from a regulator (examples are
clothing, torch or coiled hose) excepting the equipment for which it is
intended, at the outlet connection.
Use only the regulator for the gas and maximum inlet pressure
intended. This is clearly shown on the regulator nameplate.

pressure adjusting knob or "T" screw one turn anti-clockwise. If the
high pressure gauge reading drops, there is a leak in the
cylinder valve, inlet fitting or high pressure gauge. If
pressure gauge reading drops, there is a leak in the hose, fitting,
low pressure gauge or other downstream equipment. Check for
leaks using an approved leak detector solution. Never use a flame.
If the high pressure gauge drops and at the same time the low
pressure rises, there is a leak in the regulator seat. The regulator
must be repaired by an authorised repairer.

all pressure to drain from the regulator. Do this only in a well-
ventilated area, away from the flame, lighted cigarette or ignition
