5. TROUBLESHOOTING

Warning! Before any troubleshooting, switch o the engine.
Suspected malfunctions are often due to causes that users can fi x themselves,
therefore check the product using this section. In most cases the problem can
be solved quickly.

Probable causes
The switch was set to STOP.
The fuel tank is empty.
The primer bulb was not
pressed enough.
Spark plug is defective.
The engine is fl ooded.
The fuel tube is broken.
Air fi lter is dirty .

Fuel fi lter was blocked.
Fuel mixing screw is set
incorrectly.
The cutting attachment is
poor lubrication.
Blunt cutting device
Bolts/ nuts are loose.
Fuel fi lter was blocked.
Idle screw is set incorrectly.
Corrective actions
Set the engine switch to the ON («I») position.
Refuel the fuel tank with properly mixed fuel.
Press the primer bulb 4-7 times or until fuel is
visible.
Clean the electrode or change with a new one.
Remove the spark plug and wipe up the fuel,
then pull out the starter rope 5-10 times to drain
out the fuel in cylinder.
Contact with the local service center for repair.
Clean the air fi lter.
Clean it.
Replace with a new one.
Contact with the local service center for help.
Clean the guide bar and oil spray nozzle, or
contact with the local service center for help.
Sharpen or replace cutting device.
Tighten bolts/nuts.
Replace with a new one.
Contact with the local service center to adjust the
idle speed.
