TIMER OUT Terminal
The VCR outputs +12 V from the TIMER OUT
terminal according to the timer setting on the TIMER
SET display. The terminal outputs the signal even if
the timer recording mode is off (the TIMER button is
set to OFF).
COM terminal
TIMER OUT terminal
Timer starts.
WARNING OUT Terminal
This terminal will help you to know when something
wrong has happened to the VCR during recording.
The VCR outputs a pulse signal from WARNING
OUT terminal.
COM terminal
Tape recording stops.
Note
To turn the clog detection function off, set CLOG
DETECT to N (no) on the SET UP 3 display.

To reset, press p STOP or
6 EJECT, if the clog detection
function works and the VCR
gives warning, otherwise, press
the reset button.
END OUT Terminal
When the VCR detects the tape end or the time counter
shows "5H57M" or "7H57M" (depending on the
setting of the TAPE switch) during recording, the
output level becomes 0 V DC. To resume the 5 V
output, press the operation button (6 EJECT, r REC,
FF, 0
REW or z PLAY, etc.).

Set TAPE END OUT to –3M or END on the SET UP 3
display.
• –3M: the time counter shows "5H57M" (three
minutes before the tape end when using E-180 tape)
or "7H57M" (three minutes before the tape end when
using E-240 tape) and a signal is output from the
END OUT terminal (recording will be continued to
the end of the tape).
• END: the VCR detects the tape end.
