5. USEFUL HINTS TO SAVE ENERGY
Start by ironing garments that require lower
temperatures.
When all the garments are to be dry ironed,
we recommend that you follow the guidelines
in paragraph a) Dry Ironing, if the boiler will
not be switched on, there will be a energy
saving.
If some garments are to be dry ironed and
some garments are to be steam ironed, we
recommend proceeding as follows:
First: fill the boiler with water, as shown
previously and then, follow the points in
paragraph a) Dry Ironing. When you are
about to finish dry ironing, switch on the
boiler, so that it will be ready when steam is
needed.
6. USEFUL HINTS
FOR SUCCESSFUL IRONING
You can restore the original appearance and
softness of materials like velvet, wool, etc., as
well as gloves and bags, by passing the iron
over them, slowly, from a short distance,
using the steam.
Rugs will look as good as new, free from
furniture imprints, if you allow the steam to
penetrate where the surface has been
flattened and brush it gently.
Do not rest or use the iron on zips, zippers,
hooks, rings, etc., in order to avoid
scratching its base.
The surface of the base must always be kept
clean: to clean it, you need only to pass a
damp cloth over the surface when it is cold.
Do not use decalcifying agents.
After use, let the iron cool before storing it.
Store the iron in a dry place.
