4.8 FLOAT SWITCHES
The station can be used with pumps equipped with a float for automatic start and stop operation.
Pay attention to the minimum and maximum levels of the liquid that represent the interval within which the float guarantees the correct operation
of the pumps (FIG. 1).
Failure to comply with the operating levels may compromise the normal operation of the station and cause damage to property and persons. Dreno
Pompe accepts no liability in case of malfunctions and damages caused by the incorrect positioning of the floats.
4.9 FLOAT STROKE LIMITER
The stations are equipped with a float stroke limiter designed to be applied to Dreno Pompe pumps.
It is advisable to apply this accessory to avoid the risk of overflowing when the pump is started.
Installation:
Apply the limiter first separating the float cable from the special float stop positioned in the handle to the pump handle.
Insert the threaded end into the float stop of the handle and secure it with the nut.
Then adjust the float stroke by sliding it into the limiter float stop (FIG. 3).
5. ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
The electrical connections must always be carried out by qualified personnel.
For the electrical connection of the electric pumps, refer to the use and maintenance manuals contained inside.
The power outlets and any control panel must be positioned in a dry place and at a height of at least 1.5 m from the ground.
6. PREPARATION OF THE PASSWALL FOR EMERGENCY EMPTYING
The station is prepared for the installation, by means of cup holes, of a cap-fitted passwall accessory to be used for emergency emptying. A ball
cock or manual pump (not included) can be connected to the passwall.
The installation of this accessory is the responsibility of the installer before commissioning (FIG. 4).
6.1 NON-RETURN VALVE
It is possible to install a non-return valve in the connection pipe to the sewage system, in order to avoid the backflow of the liquid inside the station.
The valve must be installed at least one meter from the lifting station, in order to allow it to function correctly. Always refer to the national laws
and regulations in force.
7. FIRST START-UP
On first start-up, the station cover must be left open to check the levels, this check must be done by filling the tank with clean water. During this
operation the inlet gate must be closed, check the correct float stroke for some cycles.
Check for leaks and correct operation of the electric pump.
Warning: always ensure that the pump is primed, as the presence of an air bubble in the pump body prevents pumping.
After ensuring optimal operation and correct levels, close the cover.
7.1 MAINTENANCE
All maintenance operations must be carried out by qualified personnel.
Be sure to always comply with the following rules:
Make sure all electrical connections are disconnected.
Read and store all user and maintenance manuals.
Periodically check the condition of the walls by opening the cover.
Verify that there are no leaks from the piping connections.
