Field bus node 21 for valve terminals type 03 has been
designed exclusively for use as a slave on the INTERBUS
with fibre optic cable and rugged−line connection techhno
logy. The maximum specified values in the technical spec
ifications must be observed. Detailed information on the
pneumatic modules can be found in the pneumatics
manuals P.BE−MIDI/MAXI− (type 03) and P.BE−VISA−44−
(type 44/45). Information on the fieldbus node can be
found in the electronics manual P.BE VIFB21−03−....
Warning
S Switch off the power supply before connecting or
disconnecting plugs and sockets (to prevent func
tional damage).
S Use power supplies which guarantee reliable electri
cal isolation of the operating voltage as per IEC/DIN
EN 60204−1. Consider also the general requirements
for PELV circuits in accordance with IEC/DIN EN
60204−1.
S Connect an earth conductor with sufficiently large
diameter to the connection marked if the valve ter
minal is not mounted on an earthed machine stand.

Commission only a valve terminal which is completely
fitted and wired.
