Switch off the light and let it cool
down before boxing it.
To avoid deep discharge of the bat-
tery, the light must not be stored in
an uncharged condition. If you do not
use the light for a longer period of
time, the battery should be recharged
every 6 months and the light should
be kept in a dry, cool place (15-18° C).
3. Check scope of supply
When unpacking the light for the first
time, please check if the scope of
supply is complete (see fig. A).
Check also, if the light or the USB ca-
ble is damaged by extraneous cau-
ses. Is this the case, do not take the
light into operation.

4. Charging the battery

The light has a built-in lithium-ion bat-
tery. Charge the battery before initial
operation. To do this, use the USB
cable (6) to connect the micro USB
port (13) of the switched-off light (no
display on the info screen (8)) to a
suitable USB charger connected to
the mains, to a power bank or to an -
other USB port with electric power
supply with an output voltage of 5 V.
The current should be 2 A. End the
charging process when the charge
status is shown at 100 % in the bot-
tom left of the info screen.
Note:
- Charging time is normally approx.
4 hours. With weak chargers / power
sources it can be longer.
- The light has an overcharge pro-
tection.
5. Attaching the light
The light is equipped with a 1/4" tri-
pod thread (7) at each narrow side
and can be mounted to a suitable tri-
pod, stand, ball head, hinged bracket
etc.
Attaching the light to the camera's ac-
cessory shoe requires the mounting
foot (5). Align the light on the camera
and fasten the lock rings (18) and (19)
of the mounting foot for secure at-
tachment (fig. D).
The 1/4" tripod threads can also be
used for attaching accessories or
another light (e.g. by means of the
6014 thread adapter).
