Possible cause
A save process was triggered
on the bus coupler before
the address 0x00 was set.
The electronics supply voltage
is less than the lower tolerance
limit (18 V DC) and greater than
10 V DC.
The electronics supply voltage
is less than 10 V DC.
The electronics supply voltage
is significantly less than 10 V DC.
The actuator voltage is less than
the lower tolerance limit
(21.6 V DC) and greater than
UA-OFF.
The actuator voltage is less than
UA-OFF.
The configurations for the master
and slave are different.
Diagnostic message from module
present
There is no module connected
to the bus coupler.
There is no end plate present.
More than 32 electrical
components are connected
on the valve side
(see section 12.5.3 "Impermissible
configurations" on page 107).
Over ten modules are connected
in the I/O zone.
The module circuit boards are not
plugged together correctly.
A module circuit board is defective. Exchange the defective module.

Troubleshooting
Remedy
Perform the following four steps:
1. Disconnect the bus coupler
from the voltage and set an
address between 1 and 254
(0x01 and 0xFE).
2. Connect the bus coupler to the
voltage and wait 5 seconds,
then disconnect the voltage
again.
3. Set the address switch to 0x00.
4. Re-connect the bus coupler
to the voltage.
The name should now be
deleted (see section
9.2 "Changing the name" on
page 88).
Check the power supply at plug
X1S.
Adjust the configuration.
Check modules.
Connect a module.
Connect an end plate.
Reduce the number of electrical
components on the valve side
to 32.
Reduce the number of modules
in the I/O zone to ten.
Check the plug contacts of all
modules (I/O modules,
bus coupler, valve drivers,
and end plates).
Exchange the bus coupler
cover for address)
Check network.
Change the IP address.
