16. Install Vinyl Seal - Door Panel Bottom Frame
Position leg of vinyl seal with leg toward the inside of the door.
Push the vinyl seal into the bottom side of the bottom door frame, as illustrated.
Trim the excess vinyl seal with a sharp knife or scissors.
Close the pivot door.
Verify the pivot door does not rub against the bottom "C" frame.
NOTE: If the pivot door needs adjustment: Remove the door panel. Insert the 1/16" (2 mm) thick nylon
washer over the 1/8" (3 mm) thick washer of the bottom pivot pin. Reinstall the door.
17. Seal Outside Frame
CAUTION: Risk of property damage. Apply sealant around the outside of the bottom "C" frame only.
Applying sealant to the inside of the door will cause leakage and damage.
CAUTION: Risk of property damage. Select sealant recommended for use with polypropylene
surfaces. This will ensure that the outside of the shower door frame will properly seal to the
shower receptor and walls to prevent water leakage.
CAUTION: Risk of property damage. After completing the installation, follow the sealant
manufacturer's recommended drying time before using the shower. This will allow the panel
adhesive to properly cure.
Thoroughly clean and dry the shower receptor ledge and the "C" frame.
Apply a 3/16" (5 mm) bead of sealant around the perimeter of the bottom "C" frame where the
bottom "C" frame meets the shower ledge, as illustrated.
