connecting to an audio source
Direct connection to an audio player
1.
Plug the 3.5 mm audio jack of a jack-jack cable (not included) into your audio source,
such as a smartphone, MP3/MP4 player, laptop computer, etc.
2.
Plug the other end of the cable into the AUX auxiliary input jack on the speaker.
3.
Turn on the speaker by placing the On/Off button in the ON position. The speaker will
beep, and the indicator lamp will light up (flashing blue for Bluetooth* mode by default).

To select the cable connection mode, press the
until the indicator lamp turns red.
5.
Start playback, and adjust the volume on your audio source. The volume buttons on
the speaker do not work when using the auxiliary audio input jack.
6.
To turn off your speaker, place the On/Off button in the OFF position.
Bluetooth* connection
1.
Turn on the speaker by placing the On/Off button in the ON position. The speaker will
beep, and the indicator lamp will flash blue. The speaker is ready to be paired.
2.
Access the Bluetooth* menu of your audio source to start searching for devices. Refer
to the manual for your audio source for more details about searching for Bluetooth*
devices.
3.
Your speaker will appear in the list of devices as "ESSB_SB80". If your device asks you
for an identification code, type "0000" or the code that appears on your audio source
button on the top of the speaker
