5.0 INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
WARNING: Carefully read the indications set forth in sect. «General Safety and Accident-
Prevention Rules».
WARNING: Before carrying out any operation using the control panel, make sure that
nobody is close to the lift.
5.1 PUSH-BUTTON PANEL
The operations to be carried out using the push-button panel are:
5.1.1 LIFT LIFTING
•
Check that the Emergency Switch/Disconnector (18, Fig. 1) is set to 1 (ON), turn it, if necessary.
•
Press the «UP» push-button (19, Fig. 1) until the desired height is reached.
•
On releasing the UP push-button, the carriages will travel down automatically over a short
stroke (AUTOMATIC BRAKING), enabling the engagement of the mechanical safety locks.
WARNING: The AUTOMATIC BRAKING function activated when the UP push-button (19, Fig.
1) is released, is automatically cut off when the lower edge of the carriage (Fig. 11) is less than
approximately 20 cm above the floor; in this condition, only manually-controlled movements
during initial lowering or lifting strokes are allowed.
WARNING: Make sure to have carefully read and understood the provisions set forth in
§5.2 LIFTING PROCEDURE before starting a lifting manoeuvre.
5.1.2 DESCENT OF THE LIFT BRIDGE
Press the «DOWN» button (20, Fig. 1) until the desired height is reached.
•
Pressing the «DOWN» button (20, Fig. 1) will cause the carriages to rise briefly, allowing
the mechanical safety devices to be triggered, and then descend for as long as the button
is pressed. - When the DOWN button (20, Fig. 1) is released, the lift automatically starts a
brief descent (AUTOMATIC PARKING) of the carriages, allowing them to descend and the
mechanical safety devices to engage.
IMPORTANT! The AUTOMATIC PARKING function, when the DOWN button (20, Fig.
1) is released, has been designed so that it does not activate when the trolley, when
descending (Fig. 15), reaches 20 cm from the ground..
5.1.2.1 EMERGENCY SWITCH/DISCONNECTOR/OFF
•
Turning Emergency Switch/Disconnector (18, Fig. 1) to 0 (OFF), lift will stop working
completely.
•
This operation shall always be carried out before accessing the working area under the lift.
Lift functions are enabled by turning Emergency Switch/Disconnector (18, Fig. 1) back to 1
•
(ON).
Any failure or defect in one of more lift parts, or any power supply circuit failure or malfunction
will not result in hazardous situations, as the LIFT features a power disconnector for machine
insulation.
