13. Caulk the Shower Doors
CAUTION: Risk of property damage. Apply caulk or silicone sealant around the outside of the frame
only. Applying caulk or silicone sealant to the inside of the door will cause leakage and damage.
Thoroughly clean and dry the shower ledge and the bottom track of the shower door.
IMPORTANT! Refer to the caulk or silicone sealant manufacturer's instructions for proper caulking
techniques.
Apply a 3/16" (5 mm) bead of caulk or silicone sealant around the outside of the frame where the
bottom track meets the shower base, corner brackets meet the shower base, wall jamb meets the
shower base, and wall jamb meets the wall.
Allow the caulk or silicone sealant to set for 24 hours before using the shower.
