With the crown in the normal position (0), you can wind the watch by turning the crown
clockwise. Always wind the watch fully, to the point at which you feel a distinct resist-
ance in the crown. If the crown is wound beyond this point of resistance, the friction
clutch in the crown system can be felt and heard to grip. This prevents overwinding of
the winding mechanism and consequent damage to the movement. Your watch has a
power reserve of approximately 8 days (192 hours). To ensure maximum accuracy, you
should fully wind your watch every day as a matter of routine. The crown must always
be in position 0 when you are wearing your watch.
Note: The friction clutch is a safety mechanism and should not be unnecessarily
forced or strained. Therefore, after fully winding the watch, please do not wind the
crown any further.
