Safety Information

The instruction manual must be read in full and observed before first use. This document must be kept safe for future use. If
you misplace these documents, their most up-to-date version is available online on your retailer's website.
The user must observe the assembly and maintenance instructions, as well as all the information provided in this manual,
at all times. Adjustments, tightening torques, tension force and strap lengths must be respected. Failure to observe these
elements may cause damage to your bicycle carrier or your vehicle, and may jeopardise your safety or that of others. Failure
to observe these elements will void the warranty. Any modification of this bicycle carrier is strictly forbidden.
The Strap 200-2 weighs 5.4 kg. This bicycle carrier is designed to transport 1 to 2 bicycles. The combined weight of these two
bicycles cannot exceed 30kg. The maximum load on the bicycle carrier must not exceed 60kg. This bicycle carrier is compatible
with most adult bicycles and electric bikes. An adapter is necessary for the transport of bicycles with a low frame.
Warnings
This bicycle carrier is only compatible with the vehicles on the assignment list and fitted with a metal spoiler and tailgate. This
bicycle carrier is supplied with a magnet to allow the user to ensure that these elements are metallic. If you have the slightest
doubt with regards to compatibility, please consult your dealer. This bicycle carrier must be assembled by observing the steps
and settings found in this manual. The instructions for use can be found in your dealer's website. The assignment list and
assembly instructions are provided in the manual which can be found on your dealer's website. The manufacturer accepts no
liability for personal injury and/or damage to property as a result of incorrect installation or use.
To avoid damage to your bicycles or bicycle carrier, plastic parts, tyres, and straps must be kept far enough away from the
exhaust pipe, as these are hot.
Do not operate your vehicle's windscreen wiper automatically until you have ensured that the bicycle carrier allows for it.
Certain vehicles are equipped with automatic rear window wiper activation. Check whether you can disable the rear window
wiper.
If the vehicle is equipped with an electric boot release, this should be deactivated when using the bicycle carrier. The boot
must be opened manually.
Ensure you drive in accordance with the traffic regulations of the country you are using the bicycle carrier in. In order to
prevent over-consumption of your vehicle, avoid driving with the bicycle carrier if it is not loaded. The number plate and traffic
lights must be visible and functional. Make sure that they are not hidden by the load. If necessary, add an additional number
plate and lights.

Before use

Check that the straps are correctly fitted and tightened before use. Make sure that the bicycles are properly secured.
Before each use, make sure that the lights and number plate are working properly and are visible. On vehicle models with type
approval after 01.10.1998, the third brake light must not be obscured by the bicycle carrier or the load being transported.
In order to prevent collisions with the road, the lowest part of the carrier and the bicycles must be more than 20cm above
ground.
All objects and batteries that may fall from the bicycles must be transported separately, such as in the boot.
The driver is responsible for proper assembly and for the condition of the bicycle carrier. Any damaged or worn components
must be immediately replaced. As a reminder, the assembly instructions must be followed carefully.
Use
The vehicle's behaviour may be affected by the load when cornering or braking. Speed limits and other traffic regulations in
force must be understood and observed. The driver must adapt their driving to the load and the conditions of the road.
It is recommended to drive smoothly with the vehicle is fitted with the bicycle carrier. Never drive on off-road tracks when the
vehicle is fitted with a bicycle carrier. It is advised to anticipate bends and avoid sudden braking. Particular care is required
when reversing. The maximum speed permitted when the vehicle is loaded with a bicycle carrier is 90 km/h.
On long journeys, you are advised to regularly check that the bicycles are secured firmly on the bicycle carrier, and that the
carrier is properly assembled.
Maintenance
Ensure all the components are in good condition. Particular attention must be paid to the straps. Any damaged or worn parts
must be replaced immediately with an identical part. Do not use the bicycle carrier until it has been repaired completely.
Do not use chemical or harsh cleaning products on the bicycle carrier.
Clean the bicycle carrier after each use, paying particular attention to any sliding parts.
Remove the bicycle carrier at the car wash.
Carefully store your bicycle carrier and the operating manual after each use.
