3. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
3.1 SAFETY WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS TO BE OBSERVED
In spite of adopted dispositions, the equipment can bring about dangerous situations in working
area and residual potential risks.
It is necessary to analyse with care the potential presence of such dangerous situations and risks in
order to establish safe working procedures, suitable behaviour regulations and individual protection
devices.
• As the machine is operated, the operator shall adopt safe working procedures and observe safety
rules and regulations.
• Do not utilize products whose toxicological characteristics are unknown; only utilize products
allowed by the Ministry of Health and Competent Authorities, scrupulously respecting all specific in-
dications and prescriptions for use mentioned on the packaging of the product that is chosen for use.
• The use of the equipment is strictly forbidden for children, adolescents and pregnant women.
• Do not deliver aggressive, flammable or explosive products.
• Always wear protection clothes and devices in order to avoid the contact with toxic or harmful
products.
• Pay attention not to inhale delivered product: in case of accidental contact or inhalation, imme-
diately seek medical advice.
• No not eat, do not drink and do not smoke during the use of the equipment.
• Use the equipment only outdoor and in good light and visibility conditions.
• During the utilization of the equipment, always keep a safety distance of at least six meters from
possible persons or animals.
• Keep the equipment out of children and pets' reach and do not spray near water with fishes.
• Do not eat treated fruit or vegetables if the period of time indicated by the producer of the che-
mical preparation has not yet passed and in any case not before having washed and cleaned them
with care.
• Do not connect the equipment to other machines or equipment, both under pressure or not.
• Do not let not utilized chemical products spread through the environment.
• Do not obstruct air inlets of the equipment during its use.
• After the use of the equipment, wash your hands, face and clothes utilized with care.
• At the end of every working day and in any case after the use of the equipment, AFTER THE
EQUIPMENT HAS BEEN TURNED OFF remove with care any possible dust residual from the tank.
For higher safety, after tank emptying procedure, turn the equipment on as it is empty for about ten
seconds in position 4.
• Do not overturn for no reason the equipment during its use.
• Do not insert objects or tools, nor your arm or hand inside the tank neither during running, nor as
the equipment is not running.
• The equipment shall be operated ONLY as the tank cover is correctly screwed.
• After having completely emptied the tank, turn off the equipment before inserting new dust.
• Do not leave the equipment exposed to weather.
• The user shall be responsible for keeping the equipment in ideal functioning conditions as to allow
the equipment to run in safety conditions. The parts and the accessories of the equipment shall be
replaced in case they do not assure a correct functioning, due to wear or other functioning reasons.
3.2 PROHIBITIONS
• It is forbidden to modify or alter the equipment or its parts.
• It is forbidden to apply devices or accessories to the equipment without prior written consent by
manufacturer.
• It is forbidden to use solvents, such as alcohol, fuel or thinner to clean the equipment.
• It is forbidden to use products not authorized by competent authorities.
4. HANDLING AND TRANSPORT
• The transport of the equipment shall be carried out taking all necessary measures in order to avoid
damages.
• The equipment shall always be completely empty and turned off each time it is transported.
• The equipment shall not be piled up with other material and no material shall be piled up on the
equipment both during transport and stocking.
• No impact shall be suffered by the equipment during transport.
