Before initial use

1.1

Intended Purpose

A traditional weather station predicts the weather based on changes in the barometric pressure.
The 302 NE does receive it's coded weather information from Meteotime (www.meteotime.com).
The Meteotime weather forecasts are produced twice a day by the weatheroffice Meteotest (www.meteotest.ch).
Meteotest offers reliable weather forecasts anywhere in the world.
The Meteotime weather forecast is broadcasted via the stations for radio-controlled clocks HBG (located in Switzerland)
and DCF (located in Germany).
You are able to receive weather forecasts for 60 meteorological regions within Europe for up to 4 days, and offer a 2-
day forecasts for an additional 30 regions.

The weather should only be viewed as guidance values. It doesn't present an absolutely precise forecast. The
manufacturer does not take on responsibility for incorrect displays, recordings or weather forecasts and the
consequences which may result from it.

Safety advice

1.4.1 General safety

Always read the user guide instructions carefully before using the device.
Keep this user manual for future reference.
This product is not a toy, it contains fragile and swallowable glass parts, small parts and also batteries. Do not
permit children to play with it.
The product is intended for private use only.
Do not use this product in hospitals or medical institutions. Although the outdoor sensor emits only relatively weak
radio signals, these may lead to malfunction of life-supporting systems.
Do not operate if the unit itself is damaged.
If the unit is dropped, it must be checked by a service centre before further use.
Dangerous voltages are present inside the unit. Never open the housing or insert objects through the ventilation
holes.
Do not allow liquids to get into the unit. In that case, remove the batteries.
Similarly, if a fault develops during use or before you start to clean the unit, remove the batteries.
Do not carry out any modifications or repairs to the unit yourself. Have repairs done by a specialised service
centre.
Unsatisfactory repairs can lead to considerable danger for the user.
1.4.2 Batteries
Batteries can cause fire or burns when the terminals are short-circuit.
Be careful with charged batteries, especially when placing it inside a pocket, purse or other container with metal
objects. Conductive material such as coins can cause a short-circuit.
Do not replace batteries in a potentially explosive atmosphere. Contact sparking may occur while installing or
removing batteries and cause an explosion.
Never throw batteries in fire as they may explode.
Keep batteries away from small children.
Leaking acid from batteries may damage the device permanently. Remove the batteries if the device is not going
to be used for a long period.
Handle damaged or leaking batteries very carefully.
