1. Introduction
Mini Matic boiler is a fully automatic pellet boiler. The boiler design with
'flue tubes' allows optimum use of the heating surface without exposing the
heat exchanger to excessive thermal loads while maintaining compact device
dimensions. The boiler features a clear and intuitive control system for easy
operation with a large colour display, and an ergonomic and clear interface.
2. General
This user manual is an integral part of the boiler and must be provided to the
user with the device. The device must be installed in accordance with the guide-
lines included in this manual, relevant regulations and good practice. Following
the guidelines in this user manual guarantees safe and failure-free operation
and is a precondition for any warranty claims. The boiler specifications are
subject to change without notice. KOSTRZEWA is not liable for any damage due
to incorrect device installation and failure to observe the guidelines in this user
manual.

3. Fuel quality guidelines
The basic fuel used in Mini Matic boilers is a sawdust pellet in accordance with
EN 303-5:2012 / PN- EN ISO 17225-2: 2014 Class C1 / A1, C2/A2
A1 pellet specifications:
•
granulation 6 ±1 mm;
•
length 3.15 ≤ L ≤ 40
•
recommended calorific value 16500 – 19000 kJ/kg
•
ash content ≤ 0.7%
•
moisture content ≤ 10%
•
specific weight (density) ≥ 600 kg/m
•
ash melting point above 1200°C
A2 pellet specifications:
•
granulation 6 ±1 mm;
•
length 3.15 ≤ L ≤ 40
•
recommended calorific value 16500 – 19000 kJ/kg
•
ash content ≤1.2%
•
moisture content ≤ 10%

Test fuel used in the certification procedure - A1 pellet.
NOTE: USE FUELS FROM RELIABLE SOURCES ONLY. THE FUELS
USED MUST HAVE A RECOMMENDED MOISTURE CONTENT AND LOW
FINES CONTENT TO PREVENT A GRATE FROM CLOGGING AND ENSURE
UNRESTRICTED AIR FLOW. CHECK THE FUEL FOR ANY MECHANICAL
IMPURITIES THAT MAY AFFECT COMBUSTION AND RESULT IN DEVICE
FAILURE (SAND, METAL, PLASTICS). KEEP THE RECEIPT IN CASE
OF ANY DISPUTE.
4. Heating system bleeding
A water heating system must be bled in accordance with the relevant standards
and regulations valid for the country of installation.
5. Electrical system
General information on the electrical system of the controller, boiler and boiler
accessories:
•
The boiler room should be fitted with 230V/50Hz power supply in
accordance with the relevant standards and regulations.
•
The electrical system should be terminated with a socket with an earth
terminal.
USING A SOCKET WITHOUT AN EARTH TERMINAL
IS A RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
•
All connections must correspond to the wiring diagram and the relevant
local and national regulations.
•
The boiler equipment (boiler/control system) must be connected to
a dedicated electrical circuit with a suitable overcurrent protection device
and a residual current protection device.
DO NOT CONNECT ANY OTHER DEVICES!
•
Installation and repairs of the electrical system can be carried out by
authorised and qualified personnel only.
•
Disconnect power supply before servicing.
•
Install and fix the boiler temperature sensor in a sleeve in a water section
of the boiler.
•
Do not bend or kink any cables - cable insulation must not be damaged
at the entire length.
•
Prevent water, moisture, dust and contaminants from entering the inside
of the device. Risk of short-circuit, electric shock, fire or device failure.
•
Ensure proper ventilation of the electrical components (e.g. controller),
free air flow around the device and do not block any vents.
