CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Cleaning the appliance regularly will ensure a long life and proper functioning of the
appliance.
Cleaning the Steam Outlet
DANGER: Clean the steam outlet after each use to prevent blockages in the
steam pipe, damage to the appliance and injury. The clogged steam pipe
may cause an explosion, damage to the appliance and scalding due to
escaping hot steam.
CAUTION: Do not touch the steam pipe with bare hands during operation.
The steam pipe is hot and will retain heat for a while after use. Grasp the
steam pipe by its lever.

Press the button
to turn off the appliance.

Make sure that the steam knob is at position 0 and the button
accidental scalding.

Check if the water tank needs to be fi lled. The water level must not exceed the MAX
mark. Refi ll the tank if necessary and place it into the appliance.

Put an empty jug under the steam tube to prevent steam from escaping.

Press the button
to turn on the appliance.

Press the button
. The appliance will start pumping water from the tank through
the fi lter.

When the water starts fl owing out of the outlet, press the button

Wait until the indicator WATER lights.

Press the button

10 Wait until the indicator STEAM lights.
1 1 Turn the steam knob on slowly and counter-clockwise to produce steam.
12 After 30 seconds or when the jug is fi lled with hot water, turn the steam knob back
to position 0.
13 Press the button
again to stop.

to turn off the appliance.
15 Leave the appliance to cool off completely.
16 Clean the outside of the steam outlet with a wet, clean sponge and dry it.
If the steam outlet is blocked even after cleaning and is not capable of preparing steam,
contact a service centre authorised by the manufacturer.
