3. SAFETY WARNINGS
The steamer is an electrical appliance, so the
following safety standards must be upheld at
all times:
• Before using this appliance read this
instruction booklet carefully and keep it for
later consultations. This is the only way to
obtain better results and greatest safety in
use.
• Before using the appliance, check that the
domestic network voltage corresponds to
what is recommended on the plaque on
the cooker base.
• In the event of incompatibility between
the power socket and the appliance plug,
consult a qualified profession to change
the socket for a more appropriate one.
• The appliance's electrical safety is only
guaranteed in the event that it is connected
to an efficient earthing installation.
• After removing the packaging, check that
the appliance is in perfect condition. If
in doubt, consult the closest authorised
Technical Assistance Service.
• The packaging (plastic bags, polystyrene
balls, etc.) should be kept out of reach of

children as they are potential sources of
danger.
• The use of adaptors, multi-sockets and/or
extension cords is not recommended. In
the event that it is essential to use them,
they must comply with the safety standards
in force, ensuring that the maximum power
limit shown on the adaptor is not exceeded.
• Do not use adaptors with different voltages
to what is shown on the cooker base.
• The appliance is only to be used
domestically. Any other use is considered
inappropriate or dangerous.
• If the appliance should break down and/or
not work correctly, switch it off and do
not try and fix it. In the event of requiring
repairs, only go to a Technical Assistance
Service authorised by the manufacturer and
request that original spares are used. If not
then the appliance's safety will be at risk.
• The use of accessories which are not
recommended by the manufacturer can
cause personal damage.
• The manufacturer will not be responsible
for damage which can be derived from
inappropriate, mistaken or wrong use or
repairs carried out by unqualified personnel.
• Put the appliance on a level, stable surface.
• Do not put the appliance on or close to a
gas or electric burner or in a microwave.
Nor should it be left close to or directly
under a cabinet.
• Unplug the appliance when you are not
using it and before any maintenance and
cleaning operation. Let it cool before fitting
or removing the parts and before cleaning
or storage.
• Do not submerge the appliance in water. If
the cable and plug get wet at any moment,
unplug it; always wearing rubber gloves.
If the unit has been submerged, send
it immediately to the authorised repair
technical service or your supplier.
• Do not leave the cable hanging over the
edge of the table or counter. Keep it away
from hot surfaces and sharp edges.
• Never pull on the cable to disconnect it.
• The user should never try and change
the cable. In the event that the cable is
broken or it has to be replaced, only go
to a Technical Assistance Service which
is authorised by the manufacturer. Do not
