TROUBLE SHOOTING
TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY
Be cautious when encountering operating difficulties in the cat.
Resolve all problems before operating the tool. If the solutions presented in the troubles-
hooting guide are not effective, have the jack inspected and repaired by a qualified technician.
After the ram and pump are repaired: Test without any load by raising and lowering the tool com-
pletely, checking for actual operation, BEFORE USING THE PUMP AGAIN.
Problem
Ram does not operate

Solution
Firmly close the release valve
Please follow the steps:
1. Open the release valve by turning it
counter-clockwise, pump up the handle
10-15 times.
2. Close the release valve by turning
it clockwise, pump up the handle 5-10
times.
3. Repeat 3 times the steps 1 and 2
Firmly close the release valve
Please follow the steps:
1. Open the release valve by turning it
counter-clockwise, pump up the handle
10-15 times.
2. Close the release valve by turning it
clockwise, pump up the handle 10-15
times
3. Repeat the step 1 and 2
Drain oil to correct level
Clean and lubricate moving parts
Replace ram
Add hydraulic oil to the reservoir
Stop work and re-position ram and base,
ensuring it is well supported and as
close to perpendicular to the repair as
possible
