protect against burns or contact with the revolving
blades.
• Do not place the fan on delicate or polished surface.
• The fan blades, whilst not dangerous, may cause
discomfort or harm if fingers are inserted into moving
rotating blades.
• Do not cause obstruction to the fan blades.
OPERATION
• Carefully remove the product from its packaging and,
before placing your fan on the stove, check that the
blades rotate freely.
• Place your Valiant Heat Powered Stove Fan on a smooth
level surface to the side of the flue pipe, the top section
must not be touching any hot surface.
• Your fan operates from around 100°C to around 340°C -
the optimum operating temperature is 250°C.
• There is a bi-metallic safety device in the base of the
fan. When the surface temperature reaches 250°C the
safety device will lift the front of the fan to protect the
motor and optimise operation.
• The fan will operate with any stove where the surface
temperature ranges up to a maximum of 340°C (644°F).
Stoves exceeding this range may cause damage to the
components of the stove fan. If in doubt please check
the stove operating manual.
• The fan automatically starts as the surface temperature
increases, and slows to a stop as the surface cools.
• We recommend the use of a Valiant stove thermometer
to monitor and optimise the temperature of the stove,
and maintain safe operating conditions of the stove.
• Running any stove too hot or too cool may waste fuel
and cause dangers to occupants, stove, flue or fan.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

• Your Valiant heat powered stove fan does not require
maintenance in typical use, although the fan will benefit
from an occasional clean when cool, using a damp
clean cloth. Carefully remove any dust on the cooling
fins and blades.
• Do not immerse in water or any solution.
• When not in use place the fan in the original packaging
for safe storage.

• If the fan appears to be vibrating, this may be due to
the blades becoming out of alignment. When the fan
is cool, slowly rotate the blades while observing the
gap between the tip of each blade and the top. If one
or more of the blades is out of alignment they may be
gently adjusted by holding the blades whilst applying
slight pressure to the misaligned blade. Check and
repeat as required.
