Check that your MESA is on a level surface.
Make sure your humidifier is full of water.
Make sure your oscillator is clean.

Your MESA will stop running and the power button
flashes red when it is out of water.

The white dust is a result of minerals naturally found in
your water. It can be cleaned easily with a dry cloth.
Make sure you are not using a water softener in
your MESA.
Install a new demineralization cartridge.

The MESA is a warm mist humidifier, not a steam
humidifier, so the mist will be warm but not hot.

The cool mist setting is 66.2 degrees and the warm
mist setting is 76.8 degrees. Household temperatures
can sometimes affect this.
