If at any time during the cooking period, the operating valve releases too much steam, redu-
ce the heat source to a lower level to adjust and maintain the correct pressure level. Steam
should exit in a constant light jet.
6
Should pressure drop or the valve not release steam increase the heat source until there is mo-
derate steam flow which can be maintained.

NEVER EVER SHAKE the pressure cooker DURING THE COOKING PROCESS. This will
make the operating valve release steam and consequently pressure will drop.
Indications for electric stoves
Electric stoves retain heat much longer, so food can be overcooked, when strength is dropped
once cooking time has started. There are 2 options to compensate this effect:
1. Method with 2 hobs.
Place the pressure cooker on the highest power until correct pressure is reached and steam starts
coming out of the valve. Once the cooker has pressure, place it on the low power hob and start coun-
ting the cooking time. Make sure hob power is not too low; you must always observe a light jet leaving
the operating valve. If steam doesn't come out and/or the pressure indicator drops, increase power
until steam starts coming through the operating valve and adjust time 1 or 2 minutes.
2. Single hob method
starts coming out reduce power and start counting cooking time. Make sure hob power is not
too low; you must always observe a light jet leaving the operating valve. If steam doesn't come
out and/or the pressure indicator drops, increase power until steam starts coming through the
operating valve and adjust time 1 or 2 minutes.
How to eliminate pressure after cooking
Always check the recipe being prepared to decide whether the pressure cooker should cool naturally
or a fast cooling method should be used. Choose one of these 3 methods to release the pressure:
1. Eliminate pressure naturally.
ner and let the pressure drop naturally. It will take 10-15 mins. depending on the amount of
food or liquid. Once the pressure has been released and
the pressure indicator has returned to original position,
return to point 4 of this section.
2. Cooling cooker with cold water to eliminate pres-
sure.
Use this method to reduce cooker pressure as
quickly as possible, like when cooking most shellfish and
vegetables. You do this placing the pressure cooker in the
sink and allowing tap water to run over the lid until the
