5. Lower exhaust by adjusting ratchet strap until there's enough room for
the hitch to slide in. And make sure side brackets are over fishwires.
7. Tighten all 7/16" hitch fasteners to 50 lb-ft (68 N*M).
Proper torque is needed to keep the hitch secure to the vehicle when
towing.

6. Remove fishwires and install conical washers and nuts on both sides.
8. Re-hook the hanger brackets and reinstall the M8 bolts removed in Step
1&2. For convertibles, install the support member back on. Tighten all M8
CL10.9 fasteners with torque wrench to 20 Lb.-Ft. (27 N*M) and all 7/16"
GR5 fasteners with torque wrench to 50 Lb.-Ft. (68 N*M).
Proper torque is needed to keep the hitch secure to the vehicle when
towing.
