Remove existing inner tailpipe
hanger 8mm bolts, and replace
with supplied 8mm bolts.

1. Remove existing INNER tail pipe hanger 8mm bolt and replace with supplied 8mm bolt (1). Tighten bolt to specification
2. Using supplied bolt leader install carriage bolt (5) and spacer block (6) into passenger side hole in rear suspension as shown, see figure 2.
3. Install flat washers (2), two per side, over installed bolt onto existing weldnuts, see figure 3.
4. Raise hitch into place as shown, passing the hitch over exhaust pipes. Install over 8mm bolts and existing weldnuts sandwiching flat washers
between vehicle frame and trailer hitch bar. On some vehicle models a small amount of fascia trimming is necessary.
5. Install 3/8" conical washers (3) and M8 hex nut. Do not tighten bolts yet.
6. Attach hitch bar to rear suspension, using longer slot for Impala and XTS, with 3/8" spacer block (7) installed between suspension and hitch bar.
7. Install ½" conical washer (8) and ½" hex nut (9).
8. Tighten all hardware to specified torque.
Note: Check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to prevent
entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a
